A conclusion to a debate about the so-called 'right' to an education.

Since I was blocked because I had pointed someone to the unfortunate fact that a 'right' to an education entails slavery (and this upset her, because of course only bad people of the past endorse slavery, right?), I shall post my concluding comment here:

@checkyesjulietx You may not believe in a god, but you certainly have a faith. None of what you said constitutes a validation of the alleged 'right' to an education.

@Take Owner It's not a straw-man argument. You are the one saying that there is a 'right' to an education. If you agree that everyone should have the choice to refuse to provide an education to you, then you do not believe in a 'right' to an education. A right is something that no one else may refuse you.

@Red_Arrow I said that a 'right' to an education entails slavery. I never said that education as such is slavery. Do you understand the difference between rape and consensual sex, for example? Do you understand what the problem would be with an alleged 'right' to sex? It's the same principle.

You can read the original discussion here, and see for yourself how well the individual in question lives up to her self-flattery: https://www.girlsaskguys.com/girls-behavior/a10748-the-sexy-feminist

On a general point, I should point out that people today think that they are so morally advanced, but most of them are just as unquestioning of the moral consensus as people of the past were, if not more so. Would you really have been against the Atlantic slave trade three hundred years ago? Would you really have been for legalizing same-sex marriage or legalizing cannabis twenty years ago? Most likely, no.

"I don't know, dude. Seems kinda selfish."
