Here is part 1. With mainstream Hollywood seemingly running out of ideas, it shouldn’t be a surprise that smaller movie companies start to take over. Even companies like Netflix and Amazon has been doing well in recent years with their own line of motion pictures that rival many movies shown on the big screen. I can’t help but think about what new movie ideas would look good on the big screen. Here are some movies I would create if I were a movie director. Note: none of these movies are real. They are just movie ideas I think would look good on the big screen.
.)Space genes: A young college student(the protagonist) who is struggling with his academics due to a lack of motivation is genetically enhanced by a group of benevolent extraterrestrials. In addition to his already high intelligence and excellent athleticism, the permanent genetic modifications include a infinitely high iq and knowledge combined with superhuman reflexes and dexterity. He goes on to get straight As in college and ultimately graduates and goes on to invent and make innovations that greatly benefit all life on Earth. But little by little he catches the attention of several shady organizations, including a sinister paramilitary organization that hopes to exploit his abilities for their own benefits.
The shady organizations start to become a major problem for him but unbeknownst to the organizations, the new perks also made the protagonist a master in every known martial art, weapon and survival skills which he will use against the organizations. As he battles the organizations that are after him, he finds out that perhaps the organizations are mere puppets of a malevolent alien species.
.) Onwards to the North and star spangled maple leaf: These would be two separate movies from two different perspectives. “Onwards to the North” would be shown through the perspective of a US Marine during a fictional Hypothetical US annexation of Canada. While “Star Spangled maple leaf” would depict the life of a Canadian family post annexation.
.)Triple fet: A movie about a man who has three unusual harmless fetishes. Let’s call him “Walter”. He finds himself struggling with getting a girlfriend because none of the women he comes across share his fetishes. Walter is a shy individual who is polite and only fights in self defense and is able to subdue larger individuals. Walter doesn’t have proper training in martial arts but instead relies on his intelligence, logic and physical prowess to subdue foes. Walter eventually finds out that a corrupt psych ward doesn’t respect him for having the three fetishes he has, so Walter has to evade and defend himself against the orderlies that are sent after him. As Walter goes on the run, he meets a group of individuals who share the same fetishes as Walter and joins forces with them to expose the psych ward and bring the staff of the psych ward to justice.
.)The reptoids: A sci-fi movie about a alternate explanation of what happened to the dinosaurs and some prehistoric reptiles. In this movie, not all dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles perished when the meteor hit earth. Some of these creatures managed to safely make their way into “inner Earth” where they would eventually evolve to be humanoids who are stronger, faster, larger and more intelligent than humans. They would have incredible healing abilities and as a result of their higher intelligence, they also managed to develop civilizations that are centuries ahead of humanity. However, just like humans, they are divided by race and nations. For example Triceratops, Ankylosaurus and T. rex humanoids would each have their countries in inner Earth. An interesting thing to note is that there are some experts who believe humanoid dinosaurs could have been possible if they lived long enough.
.) Parallel dreams: A sci fi movie about people who have found a way to access their own imaginary worlds via sleep. Examples of worlds would be “post axis victory”, “extraterrestrial occupation” etc. Eventually a ambitious group of people end up exploiting this new ability by causing worlds to collide with each other causing conflicts.
.)My homeland: A movie about a fictional dictator who gets obsessed with enforcing order and righteousness in his country. He has security cameras on every street, he has the largest police force in the world. Aside from granting his citizens lots of freedom, he also put many laws in place to prevent corruption in every aspect of his country. Example he labeled all mental institutions as “cults”, shut them down, put the orderlies and shrinks in disciplinary camps and gave the former patients freedom under supervision. He also labeled realism as a limitation which caused his country to become the most technologically advanced country in the world. Eventually he realizes a moral dilemma in which he starts to wonder if his thirst for righteousness is corrupting him.
.)The resurrection of the Reich: A movie based on a popular internet conspiracy theory The movie would be about Antarctican Nazis launching a surprise attack on the world. Their incredible numbers and superior technology would overwhelm most parts of the world. The protagonist’s goal would be to push the “polar Nazis” into a stalemate in order to sign a peace treaty. On a side note, there was a low budget movie based on “Antarctican Nazis” but it was poorly received.
.)XX visual now trending: A sci fo movie about a futuristic world where the human mind is fully understood. In this movie a new procedure starts to trend, women who are 18 years and older can voluntarily undergo a procedure that unlocks the visual nature of the female brain which makes women just as visual as men are when it comes to their sexual attraction to the opposite sex.
.)Amalgamated ideologies: A dystopian movie about a futuristic world where both Nazism and communism return but get amalgamated into one giant monsterous totalitarian regime that has divided the world into 6 federations(one per continent) with several districts within them. The only people who can stop the regime are small groups of conservatives
.)Matriarchy, the other side of the coin: A movie about a young man who refuses to conform to a hypothetical world where it is mostly dominated by matriarchal societies. The movie would show the man’s life in the matriarchal world. It will show most women using him only for sex, labor, sperm farming. He would also experience misandry prompting him joining a men’s rights activist group.
.) The second Tower of Babel: A sci fi movie that takes place in a world that is dominated by artificial intelligence. The AI took over after humans grew too ambitious in trying to replicate man by giving robots free will. Humans are treated like second class citizens while the AI are at first class.
.)The other Earth: A movie where a vacant Earthlike planet on a different solar system is terraformed with plant and animal life from Earth and colonized by fleeing humans after Earth got invaded and taken over by a hostile alien species. The movie would focus on the humans adapting to the new planet as they also form an alliance with a friendly alien species that may help them retake Earth.
.)Nature Incarnate: A movie about a man who accidentally gets injected with a serum that alters his DNA which grants him the power to mimic the abilities of all animals. Examples, the agility of a cat, the climbing ability of a gecko, the camouflage of certain plants and so on. He uses his newfound abilities to protect nature.
.)Forgotten bravery: A WWII about the Japanse-American 442nd RCT. There have been a few movies about the 442nd RCT but they didn’t reach many audiences despite their high ratings. In my opinion, I believe that there needs to be a movie about these men that can reach a larger audience. It’s quite sad how many people have never heard of these guys despite their role in helping desegregate the US military.
.)The Winter Marshal: A WWII movie about Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim. The Marshal Of Finland that played a major role in repelling the soviet invasion of Finland.
.)Salgado: A historical biography movie about Plinio Salgado, the founder of the Brazilian Integralist action. The movie would primarily focus Salgado himself but would also give screen time to the Intergralists. The movie would not be politically motivated, it would only be to show a historic group of people.
.)The 5 districts of America: A movie showing a dystopian hypothetical scenario where the US gets divided into 5 districts(one per race) in the future after race relations deteriorate. People can still travel to other districts and out of the US but should they travel to a district that doesn’t “correspond” to them, they’ll face a lot of discrimination and prejudice. The 5th district would stay diverse, anyone can live there without any issues. The central characters of this movie would be focusing on trying to reunify the districts into the USA again.
.)Under the wolf and bear: A movie about the Polish Underground state that resisted the both the Nazis and Soviets during WWII and continued to resist the Soviets till the fall of the Soviet Union.
.)Tenacity of a honey badger: A movie about a short man who is very tenacious, intelligent and talented that is poised to prove to the world that size doesn’t matter when it comes to success. The movie will show him triumphing over larger opponents in full contact sports, getting high positions in his career etc. This would be a “anti heightism” movie.
.)The alpha autocrat: A movie about a man who has the dna of several historic totalitarian leaders(Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, Attila, Hirohito, Hussein etc.) inserted into his brain by a corrupt group of scientists. Unfortunately for them, this man turns against them and starts his rise to power. The only person who can stop him is another man with similar traits but who’s brain has the DNA of historical heroes.
