Some phobia's we are born with and other's result from some type of negative experience, or trauma, that we were subjected to in our earlier days.

Whatever the reason, phobia's can be as real as a heart attack to some of us and effect the way we view, perceive and behave sexually.

Here are just a few sexual phobia's that can affect us.

1. Erotophobia

The fear of sex itself. It could be the act of sex, or an object used during, or related to sex, or a person considered to be highly sexual. A person with Erotophobia does not want to talk about sex or anything related to it.

2. Genophobia, AKA: Coitophobia

The fear of sexual intercourse. Someone with Genophobia has no problem with kissing and cuddling but try to to take it to the final phase and you'll quickly learn what this phobia is all about. Ever meet a girl like this guys? ...lol


3. Gymnophobia

The fear of, everything to do with, nudity. Being seen naked by someone or seeing someone else naked. This fear has nothing to do with any discomfort over the looks or weight of the body, but merely the nudity itself.

4. Haphephobia, AKA: Chiraptophobia

This is the fear of being touched anywhere by anybody. Not even an accidental bumping, or rubbing, against this person is acceptable. This fear may reach a crescendo when in a crowded area.

5. Philemaphobia

The fear of kissing. Like to kiss? Not with this person you won't. Sex is OK though, but try to get your lips near theirs and you're in for a big surprise!

6. Paraphobia

This is the fear of sexual perversion and anyone they think is associate with one, although it is not the person as much as the perversion itself that they fear. In addition, they have a fear of turning into a pervert themselves. TIP: Don't share your kinks and fetishes with this person if you know what's good for you! All of their personal moral codes have to be strictly adhered to.


7. Ithyphallophobia, AKA: Medorthophobia and Phallophobia

The fear of a penis. Yes, you read it right. Guys will fear getting an erection, while women will fear touching, or even looking at one. Spell it with me ...L.E.S.B.I.A.N. ...lol

8. Medumalacuphobia

The fear of losing an erection, or "performance anxiety". Guys with this phobia may not even want to have sex as a way of avoiding embarrassment or disappointing their partner.

9. Agrophobia

The fear of being sexually abused. Many with this phobia have been sexually abused, or have seen someone being sexually abused in their past, but it can still happen with those who have not as well.

10. Eurotophobia

Fear of a vagina. Women don't want to be touched there, at all, period. And men who have it, want nothing to do with one. For the guys, can you spell G.A.Y.? ...lol

11. Venustraphobia

Get ready for this one ...the fear of beautiful women. Yes, you read it right again. And both men, and women can suffer from this one. Some men are intimidated and don't feel they deserve a beautiful woman and women are fearful that another women's beauty could harm them in some way ...as in stealing their man from them.


12. Androphobia

The fear of men. Any man, good looking or not. This phobia could be from a negative past experience or for no known reason at all.

13. Menophobia

The fear of menstruating. A woman with this phobia may panic every time she starts to menstruate. A man with this phobia is frightened of any woman they know is menstruating. Can you say, "Get near me you b**tard and I'll cut your f***ing head off!" ...lol

14. Anuptaphobia

The fear of staying single. Seems like I have seen posts about this on GAG. Many have the fear that they will remain single for the rest of their life and is one of the more common phobia's.

15. Heterophobia

Okay, this is a weird one ...the fear of the opposite sex. Sounds simple enough, but for heterosexuals there can be a mixture of sexual attraction and fear at the same time.

16. Parthenophobia

Have we just run into two really bizarre ones in a row? Yes, we have ...the irrational fear of virgins and young females ...was I right, or what? This phobia is most common in guys who find it impossible to be sexually attracted to any girl that has never had sex before.


17. Tocophobia

The fear of getting pregnant or having a child. Females with this phobia have a hard time enjoying sex so don't really want it much, thus have a hard time ever getting pregnant, even when they decide they want to.

18. Oneirogmophobia

The fear of wet dreams ...no, I am not kidding! ...lol. This phobia even effects the person's sleep, and can cause the lack of it due to their fear of having a wet dream ...I am not making this up! ...lol

  • The only phobia I've is number 17. I don't like children and don't know how to cope with them as a high sensitive person. They screams, have smelly diapers, they demand attention, there's less spare time, you've to take care of them in almost 20 years economically and emotionally etc. The fear of unwanted pregnancies is real and I've problems trusting the contraception because I've heard horror stories. I'm also opposed to self-determined abortions because I think babies should have the right to live. Because of this penetration sounds very risky and tricky. I've also heard about horror stories where women refuse to tell their partners they're pregnant, undergoes a secret abortion and then tells them later, so they've basically taken from their partner's child.

    I knows about other people with the same fear. In addition to them having number 17, they also finds penises disgusting or ugly looking and are so sensitive that penetration sounds a turn off. I feel especially sorry for one of them since she's a straight girl.

  • You give me the heebeegeebees with your list! Just reading the list gives me the phobophobia.

    However, all those phobias that we may smile at are genuine and all those afflicted with any one of them deserves respect because behind every phobia is a tragedy.

    I am lucky enough not to have any of those but I am certainly not immune to developing one in the future, like anyone else. All it takes is a traumatizing experience, a minute of hell and my (or your) world tumbles into an uncontrollable fear.

    What was once something nice, beautiful and worth living becomes a nightmare and so serious that it affects your life for ever and the ones of those that love you.

  • Venustraphobia. Wow I am shook to my core. I really feel as though I take so many similarities from the phobia. I have never dated beautiful men and once I did I was so anxious I felt like I didn’t deserve to be seen with him and blew the date entirely.

    • It has nothing to do with the time of pregnancy or if I could financially care for a baby though, just the process of ruining my body through the pregnancy and going through unimaginable pain and anguish through the delivery is what terrifies me. I’ll probably have the same fear when I’m 20, 25, 30, 35, etc., which is a bit inconvenient considering I actually do want to have my own kid one day.

  • I have a phobia that my partner doesn't get enough satisfaction hence she orgasms too often, because I do much more than it's necessary. ( foreplay she cums, sex she cums mostly, petting after she orgasms several times)
    I have this phobia since my first sex and women can easily accept this kind of phobia.
