    • Yeah, I think unsolicited genital-centric photos are always uncalled for. I don't want to open my inbox to a picture of a wild beaver either!

    • Thank you kind sir🙋 I shall take my leave back to the safety of my profile where it's safe... 🎀

  • Im not offended at all. I am a regular visitor to mixed sex saunas and spas in Europe where men and women get naked together. I feel totally comfortable around naked men.

The problem occurs when the nudity is an unwanted and aggressive sexual advance. A naked body is not offensive at all. Its just the reason behind it that can be.

  • They're not. The inverse is true - more people appreciate the female body.
Females are more often sexualized, males are not.
Artists were male, they revered the female naked body (not because males were better artists by birth, but because all working 'professionals' were male) so they painted what they wanted to see. Even today, those 'in charge'/management etc. are mostly male. They're the ones making the decisions, influencing culture like what gets produced in entertainment, shown online.
Men are more visually inspired, women are not. Women need more. They are much more complex in their desire. They need to know character, personality, status, etc etc., whereas more men compartmentalize these things, or go in a progression of 'first things first', beginning with looks. The other things come after.
The real question is why do so many men continue to try and catch a fish with nudes. (Just because it's what they want, themselves.) It's not going to work. And you can't fish with dynamite. And trolling mass quantities with a huge net and very little discretion also doesn't get them far. They're spotted a mile away.

    • Would you say male nudity in film or TV is inoffensive? For example, in episode 2 of the HBO series Euphoria, which contains a locker room scene with over 30 men shown in full frontal nudity?

    • I personally think nudity out in public should be banned for both sexes. Nude beaches, for instance, can be an exception. There has to be a certain amount of decorum for society to function, like without distraction. Entertainment is a whole other thing completely. I don't find male nudity offensive. It's not different than female, in my mind. However I do think every piece of entertainment should be rated. Not banned, rated, and made very prominent, probably at the beginning of the episodes or whatever it is, so that people know when they are watching something, what they might encounter. And violence is not the same as sex. I think there should be distinctions. I don't know this Euphoria series you're referring to. But my answer would be definitely no, not offensive. Do you remember that infamous Viggo Mortensen movie a while back, where he fights, completely naked, with he and the other guy trying to kill each other in a European spa? It was something different. Not offensive, just different. And there is sexualizing nakedness, and not sexualizing it. Those are also distinctions. I also don't want to see women's breasts hanging out, breastfeeding in public. But that is not often a problem anyway, as most seem to be discreet and just put a blanket over their shoulder. I really don't see these as big problems, personally. Easily solved. And p. s. I am Canadian, and though there is decorum in public, we show much more nudity on TV, and our society hasn't collapsed in an orgiastic fit. We're very civil.

    • I have to disagree when it comes to breastfeeding- I don't think the mother should have to make any effort to cover up while feeding their child. I find that to be the absolute least offensive adult nudity there can be.

  • Throughout most of history, homosexuality was seen as something you DID rather than something you WERE. It was tolerated or punished to varying degrees in different times and places, but at the core, it was always seen as a decision you were making. It was also a major departure from what society expected- and, to be blunt, needed- from you; this, along with preserving genetic traceability, is why male homosexuality has always been more harshly punished than female.

Those days are long gone, but the instincts behind them are not; there remains an idea that any sexualized image must be responded to with either lust or revulsion, and since lust would mean you're being "gay", it must be avoided- and you must be seen to be avoiding it. It's sad, but you see this reaction even in people who are perfectly accepting of homosexuality in other people; they still feel driven to protect themselves, to keep those horrible feelings out.

Personally? I've never had a gay feeling in my life, but I'm a big believer in both generosity and enjoying eye candy. I say bring on the sexy naked dudes!

    • So women seeing other women nude doesn't have to be met with either revulsion or lust, but men seeing men has to be (per society, not you as you're accepting of it)?

    • Pretty much. Like pretty much every human behavior, it starts with a biological basis that gets heavily reinforced by social conditioning.

  • You mean you have not been blocked by your inspiration yet? Half the people on gag have been blocked by her. Why not you? You suck her toes or something?

    • You'd have to ask @secret6620. Unless you're blocked, of course.

    • As I said, half the people on gag are. Her loss. She is fussy. If it isn't her way it's the highway. ha ha

  • It's the reason for being naked that's offensive not the act itself. It's the "look at my cock" whether you want to or not attitude that people find offensive.

    • So would you find male nudity that isn't exhibitionist in nature to be non-offensive? Such as natursim?

    • Exactly, naturists don't set out to shock or offend. It's the same with the guy who thinks it's funny to run naked down the street. It's naked men who draw attention to their penis or display it in an aggressive manner that's offensive.

    • So, streaking isn't offensive to you?

  • Not offended at all. I think men's body as very attractive, not that I would act on it since I am married but do enjoy looking.

  • It depends on the action and how a person conduct themselves is considered offensive.

    • How about changing on the beach, for example?

  • its gay af to put 2 naked dudes side by side. If it was a naked girl and naked guy it would be more acceptable

    • I mean both of those photos were non-sexual situations, what makes it gay?

  • Seriously I don't mind as long as I dont see old guys

    • All the wrong things hanging eh? 😂

    • @COMMODOREII oh crap yes

    • Im with you on that one. 😂

    • Show All
  • Hm, I don't mind

  • I'm not, But forgive me if I sometimes laugh,

  • With friends, it is acceptable to me.

  • I will essentially respond to both questions together. It really is a good question. Why are we so offended by nudity? It's just a human in our natural form. Yet we are not as offended by violence. People equate nudity with sex, because that seems to be the only time nudity is allowed in our culture. Why? I still don't quite understand.

  • I don't think it should be a big deal at all
