Depends on the resort. Some are clothing optional and others are nude required. One thing both have in common is no clothing in the pools or hot tubs. Actually helps the water filters when no clothing of any kind is the norm.
Now it depends on the resort and if it's part of AANR or TNS. Each has a code of conduct that resorts or clubs must abide to. Also most are family friendly so kids will be running and splashing around.
Now some clubs, like Paradise Lakes and Caliente in the Tampa area, are more geared for just the adults so one could expect a more libertine atmosphere.
Now about the body issue, virtually non-existent. Yes, people will look but when talking with you they're looking you in the eye.
We haven't been to a club or resort yet we haven't had a great time. Leave the worries at home, along with the clothes, and have fun!
And remember to bring towels to sit on and a cooler for drinks and snacks.
