I had never thought of it in terms of "maintenance", as in part of my daily fitness routine, but you might be onto something. Our muscles need exercise, right? So when my wife isn't around to serve as "exercise equipment", I engage in isometrics as opposed to team sports. That's when, instead of accidentally happening upon inspiration, I seek it out. It's a way to brighten one's day and put a bounce in one's step.
Okay, who am I kidding? It's not about exercise. It's about appreciation of women's bodies and the big pay off, after which I can relax and focus on other things.
