Why do all the prettiest females think they have all these male friends who only want to be friends with them? Your male friends want to get with you! Most men that have a female friend, who is only a friend, she is usually not that attractive.

Well we can't give all of them some, can we? Its nice to just have guys around. You'll always have a male opinion. When you do decide to date someone.

*shrug* My best male friend has been with his girlfriend for as long as I've known him. If he wanted to get with me, I'd be pretty pissed off at him, because that's almost two years he's been with his girl and I'd be surprised if they didn't get engaged before too long. And I think I'm pretty attractive, and people tell me I am. I've actually had the reverse occur a couple of times, where I have a crush on a guy friend and he doesn't seem to reciprocate the feelings. So it goes both ways.

The thing about befriending a member of the opposite sex (assuming of course, that you're both straight), if that person doesn't think of you as a potential partner right away, you haven't got very long to establish that you want to be more than friends. Because once you get shelved as a friend and not a potential partner, it's hard to switch categories. For a person of either sex.

Because girls rationalize it like this: guys that ask you out or make it obvious they want to get with you = don't just want friendship

guys that befriend you = just want friendship

guys need to stop doing that shit. they're only shooting themselves in the foot and wonder why they don't end up with the girl

Question Asker I agree, I think most do it because they fear rejection, and feel it is easier to be a friend until they get clear signals the girl wants more. - 8 months ago
Grizzly77 100% agree, it's much easier to get along as a friend and I think it's more polite. to be honest don't know how to get along with girl another way, it's always good to begin with friendship ;) - 2 months ago

We think you want to be only friends because most guys don't tell us pretty girls they want more. Then we stick you in the friends zone and when you are there...You sometimes can't move out of it. You hit the "he is like my brother" status and that is the kiss of death for a guy.

Well this happened to me a couple of times when my guy friend liked me more than a friend. He told me he loved me and I told him I didn't feel the same way, so he didn't talk to me for a year. But now we are good, not like we used to be, but we're ok.

I think that they want to be friends with us is usually to hang out and act like retards, at least that's what I do... and let me tell you I have A LOT of guy friends than girlfriends. I had my guy friends ask me out but I turned them down. But usually sometimes the girl will like the guy who is their best friend.

It is common you know, for best friends to fall for each other, but that takes time!!!

Question Asker I think that's what most guys hope for, but usually it doesn't, like your male friend, you told him you didn't feel the same, he is still around, and he is hoping you will change your mind, if you want proof, ask him on a date :). - 8 months ago

Agree with the women. I've done it a few times and shot myself in the foot. If you want more than just friendship then don't start the relationship as their girlfriend. :)

Go out, have fun, throw in a few sexual innuendo's, touch her, kiss her. Show her that you desire her.

And DO NOT ever discuss her dates or ask her about how the date with so-and-so went. Kiss-of-death. That is reserved for their girlfriends unless you like to wear pink and bond with her while doing her nails.
