Who lies more, Girls or Guys?

Girls, definitely, they're just so good at it that they don't get caught as much.

Interesting question. According to a new book by Susan Shapiro Barash (Little White Lies) most "Women lie as a survival technique, but also to get what they want" and they are more clever and successful then men at it.

On the flip side of the coin, if you take an Australian poll into consideration then men lie more frequently (five times avg per day) than women (three times avg per day).

Only issue with these stats is that they tend to be informal and their veracity can not be confirmed. After all, if you have a tendency to lie then why would you tell the truth about this matter?

In closing, I'd definitely say that women are better liars. Their lies tend to be well thought out and sound while we tend to lie, as you said "about stupid things," and we do it on the stop without thinking it true. Women are definitely the more cunning sex. :)

Well whether who lies more doesn't depend on gender. Its all part of who you are, your personality. Not every lies to get what they want. People tell white lies to make someone feel good.

I believe males lie MORE women are BETTER AT LYING... guys usually speak before they think.. that is why the get caught more .. ha... gals on the other hand, well, we don't lie as much because we pre-plan everything.. we think up a "good one" and guess what the best part is? THEY FALL FOR IT... HAHA

I use white lies about EVERYTHING, none of them are important though, but my guy is pretty bad at lying and he lies about really stupid things and if he had just told me the simple truth in the first place, I would have NO reason to be mad. I usually point out when he's lying because I can tell, and it usually conflicts with something he previously said. He seems to think he can tell when i'm lying but he totally can't tell, he thinks looking into my eyes will determine the truth!

I have know from my past relationship that guys sometimes tend to lie a little bit more than we do. They lie because they don't want to hurt us, on the same level girls like to lie too, they think they have to because its necessary. Then again, everybody lies even if its a boy or girl.
Aww heck, I just confused myself.

I think lying period is wrong but, it happens. Even little white lies. But, I hate to say it..Girls do.
