Why does your boyfriend keep getting you things even when you tell him to not get you anything? I mean I appreciate it but I don't want him doing things for me. I don't ask for much.
I agree 100% with Aristotles, how would it feel if a guy came up to you and said, "you look fine! get over it!" it is very rude. Accept the presents, he just wants to tell you how much he loves you.
It is quite natural for a guy to want to actively give to his girl (physically or emotionally), just as important it is for a girl to look good for her guy. Both these things arn't really authentically important to the opposite sex, but should be considered as an appreciation even if it does nothing really to you. To tell him to stop giving you gifts is the same as a guy telling his girl to stop complaining about her looks. The same feeling goes with it. Just thank him for it and tell him you love him and be open with him at all times.

I've also seen like when two people start dating one person will get a gift for the other. Then the favor is returned. This pattern may continue for a little bit, but after like 3x one person is done playing and the other still sees gift giving as the way they were able to flatter the other person and in conclusion is not creative enough to capture your attention. You can't shop for a person all the time! This is also confusing on the person doing the gift giving because they do not realize their true potential (gift giving is their outlet). If you like him, I'd talk it over, make sure he and you are on the same page.
Cottonmouth is totally right. Girls always say they don't want you to get them anything, some are lying. If you say you don't want anything and he doesn't get you anything, but you DID want it, it makes us look/feel stupid and it makes us look like we don't care. We try to listen to you girls, so when we do, don't play games. It confuses us. How am I supposed to know what you want if you don't tell me? Everyone always says guys are stupid, so how do you expect us to read your mind? You want it, then tell me. If you really don't like, tell him. Sit him down and tell him that you think it's nice, but that he doesn't have to do it.

Becuase if we don't and another guy does then there will be a problem. Plus that's something a lot of girls say and some mean it and some don't. The thing is if we don't when you wanted it and said you didn't we look like assholes. Plus enjoy the nice things in life, who knows what can happen to you or anyone.
He enjoys spending money on you. That's his choice. If it really bothers you you should have a talk with him about it and let him know that you really appreciate it but he should cut back on it.
Okay, it's literally probably because he likes you or loves you a lot. He would do anything for you. Just to make you happy, he is doing it. When you tell your boyfriend not to worry about something, they are anyways, because a real boyfriend will do it because they love you or like you lots. See, I mean do spoil yourself to the bone when he is doing it, but just don't get too in to it. I'd love it if my boyfriend did that, but if your boyfriend, or anybody's boyfriend will do that, they TRULY love you to death.
