Women, why do you cover up in an indoor pool or maybe an outdoor pool wearing a two piece suit?

Insecurity? Respect for their bodies? A lot of women wear two piece suits for the comfort and flexibility (i.e. different sizes on top and bottom), not because they want to show off their bodies. I can't wear one pieces at all because they are uncomfortable for me. So maybe it isn't that a two-piece is to show off, maybe a two-piece is for other reasons. They aren't trying to garner attention, they are trying to be comfortable.

They are actually self concious and not confident with their bodies hence why they cover up until the very last minute, so they think people will just not notice or look at them or their bodies.

I think most girls are either uncomfortable, or they just respect themselves and don't want others looking at them. There's nothing wrong with that!

Um. Maybe they are respectable women. At least they respect themselves and their body. Most probably know they look good but they are going to try and FLAUNT IT in your face. Respect that. Maybe you should ask one out. Haha

It's cold, even if the room's pretty warm. The only places I've been (and I was a competitive swimmer for several years) that were warm enough I didn't get cold out of the water were so hot they were stifling (and thus sucked for actual swimming). In a lot of cases, the hot tub is in the same room as the pool.

Some women are insecure, no reason to give them a hard time. I get your point about wearing a one piece compared to a two piece and not showing it off but some people are just shy. And now that I think about it, if I were in a health club, I would do the same thing. I used to get weirded out by random guys looking at girls in the gym. It's kind of creepy in a way, because we are there to work out or swim or whatever, and no one wants to ogled why trying to do so.

A lot of women are just shy about being seen in a bathing suit. You may think she has a nice body but she probably is comparing herself negatively to all the other women around and movie stars and models that we all think look so much better than we do. Your question reminded me of that old song...LOL ...."she wore an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini...that she wore for the first time today...an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini..and in the locker she wanted to stay..."

Maybe the girl isn't a show off. She wears a two piece suit because /she/ likes the way it looks on her but it does not mean she wants to be stared at.

Also, I think women who act quite classy and like ladies also tend to have much more respect for themselves and their bodies. Women who tend to be a bit more insecure, but with a good body, will flaunt it in order to attract attention which gives them affirmation that they are still attractive.
