Is it normal to be attracted to older men?

I know when I was younger I was attracted to older women, and still am on occasion. I think it is pretty common. Much like Jarett said, I do think younger girls tend to be attracted to older guys.

However, I disagree with his statement that older guys like younger girls for just their body. I do think a guy can be interested in a girl for more than that, but I don't think it's all that common. A girl/guy at 15 may not know exactly what he/she wants and if they don't get to experiment around by dating and such, if they get into a relationship they may start to wonder what they missed by not dating around.

But I have known a guy to date (and eventually married) a girl twenty years younger than he. They were married 50+ years. And they did love one another very much.

So to answer your question, yes, I think it's normal. Just if you ever do pursue it (and I'd suggest waiting a few years), just be careful. Some guys can be quite lecherous and be true to what Jarett stated.

It is normal for younger girls to be attracted to older guys. Older guys seem much cooler, more mature. They know what they like, they have a car, they are more confident. These are things that all women want. And when you compare older guys to guys your age, then obviously the guys your age don't compare up.

And to be honest, a lot of older guys like younger girls. But the difference is, is that guys like younger girls for one thing -- their body. So if you ever hear an older guy say he likes a younger girl, then you know what he is looking for. Plain and simple.

it's normal for a young woman to look at an older man, it's kinda a fantasy because older men are more expierenced and success and have a lot more to give. but times changes when a man especially 30 years and up to me is just sick, but they can go to prison forchild molestation or jail for sagatory rape (even if your willing?) if you decide you want to date an older man your parents have to approve first! or youcan get someone in trouble. what's more important is enjoy yourself while it's young because once you graduate high school you have to face all life responcibilities,and grow up. at your age your parents are your guide,your friend,and your inspiration.being with an older man would limit a lot of things you can do.they might expect more out of you than a boy your age.your friend may not except you and you might find your self the laughing stock you need to find the answer for your self. but you are not a woman your still a child so enjoy it.date your peers have a highschool sweet heart. go to college make something of yourself you can be proud of and then think about older man later.if you are sexually active make sure you use a condom either for male of a female condom. never let a man have sex with you and force into it without protection that is a red flag which means he's no good and get the f.k out ok I hope my advise will help ypu my name is lindsay I'm 28 my email is qlinds@aol.com. if you need advise for anything .

Oh yeah, I've always been attracted to older guys. Not only are they more mature and know how to deal with women, but it's been programmed into us by evolution to seek older guys. Older guys generally have more skills, more reliable resources, and are more ready to commit to a woman. Evolution tells women that this is what we want, and that makes older guys more appealing.

Of course, evolution also programs older men to seek younger women, as a young and healthy woman is more likely to bear a healthy child. Whether a guy wants kids or not is irrelevant. Our evolutionary history tells him to find a young woman. It's good that you don't pursue these relationships, though. Until you're an adult, you should really only be dating people your own age. When girls your age date older guys, they always end up hurt, and often end up pregnant. That's just how things go, unfortunately. I've seen it happen too often.
