We've been on two dates. The first one was just to meet him in person. We went stargazing and watched a midnight movie - we had a blast. The second date was for my birthday. He didn't really plan anything for me but came out because I wanted to spend time with him on my birthday. He mentioned to me that he's jobless (unstable with his career right now) so he doesn't want to lead me on. But he took me to a nice lounge at the top of a hotel with a nice view, shared dessert and took pictures. Then we went to a restaurant that I picked out for dinner and I paid (didn't mind at all), walked around downtown and that night we kissed while overlooking the skyline. He was such a sweetie, ordered food for me, feed me dessert, let me hold his arm when we walked around. I thought he wanted to hang out with me again the next day, because he said "maybe. " but turns out he really didn't want to hang out again. Did not text me back at all despite all the messages I sent him and ignored my calls later on at night. Is he hurt that I paid for dinner? Did I push him away with all those text messages? Does he not even like me at all?
From your text it sounds as if he thought he was ready for something he really isn't. He sounds like a nice guy. I think it says a lot that he said he didn't want to lead you on. They guy may be proud and hates the idea of being out of work and your paying for dinner. Regardless of how satisfied with him you may be, he more than likely has issues with his current situation. He probably does like you but there probably is nothing you can do in this situation.
Well before the guy I like knew I liked him we made a flirting eye contact, we talked, smiled, laughed and he would be so funny and nice and joke...
