Tell me something: I have a buddy... he's 28, and his family and friends control his life.

I have 'taken him under my wing', so to speak... I regularly 'coach' him through his trials and tribulations. My view on his life is that he should just get out from the control of his family, and live life for himself. What would you tell him if you were me?

Update: He lives like an old woman.. a mama's boy, if ya wanna call it that. Talked to a girl he went out with... she damn near hates his guts because he refuses to be a man...    2 months ago

Tell him what I tell him, to live life for himself, not to care what people say

Do nothing and laugh at him

Confront his demons, take 'em on, and become what he wants to become

Run and hide- his life is screwed

I'm not sure the whole story but family is very important. Tell him to step up as an individual but don't alienate the people that care about him the most.
