should I give her money to spend on her mom for her birthday. her mom kinda is a low life any way and bugs me should I give her mommy to buy her something. she doesn't want her ever and always taking her to the babysitters or her dads house. so should I give her the money and tell her she can buy her mom something or buy herself something

Update: she wanted to get her a digital camera I told her something smaller she said no that what mommy said to get lol. I guess a card wasn't what she wanted I tried something smaller so I gave up.    5 months ago

I'd get her something like movie tickets where her mom has to spend time with her, with what you got her. Try to be creative in that sense, I guess, is something that I would try.

Go with your daughter to buy a present, let your daughter pick the present and write a personal message on the gift tag herself (if she is old enough to write).
Then if the mother doesn't appreciate it then that's her problem, you did the right thing, your daughter did what she was capable of and more importantly no matter what happens you and your daughter will always know that you did the right thing for your daughter.
The present can not be criticised as it was picked by your daughter and if she does then she is an ungrateful bi...woman.

I appreciate and cherish my daughter bringing me a paper cup with a smile drawn on it so the relevance of what it is that she picks out is of no importance.

It is important to teach his daughter that giving is an important part of a relationship. Children are almost always on the receiving end, but rarely on the giving end. It would be best if you were able to take her shopping for her mom and let her feel a part of the purchase, wrapping and offer some instruction on delivery.

You are great to care.

Good Luck,
James

Why are you considering doing anything? Shouldn't your boyfriend be the one doing this if anyone is?

It's important for the girl to buy her mother a gift, low life or no. I'm curious though... why isn't your boyfriend the one giving her the money? (It just seems like something he should do as her father.)

The daughter buying her mother something is really more for the child. The daughter would love to be able to get her mom a gift, it would be so much fun for her. You don't need to give her a lot of money or anything. I say take her shopping and maybe pick out something for her that's like 10 or 15 dollars. Even if the mom does suck the daughter would still really enjoy it.

Answerer That's too bad she only wanted to get that. It's her loss I guess. I wouldn't spend that much either. - 5 months ago
