Ok, this is the sequel to an earlier question. I'm seeing a guy, we can call him K, and I've been unsure before if we're dating or not, but I'm thinking we are, albeit slowly.

His club had a big re-opening last weekend, and I was there snapping pictures. Naturally we didn't spend the entire evening together, but he did follow me around quite a lot, and I followed him around quite a lot too. He sat down beside me on the edge of the stage next to the dance floor and took my hand and held it for quite a while, and later took my hand several times during the evening while talking to me. It was nice. Ok I'll admit it - I felt like I was 14 and my stomach was full of butterflies.

Then later on a man we are both acquainted with came up and talked to me and said some pretty sleazy things, he has been sleazy with me before and also rather aggressive - used to send me bootleg tapes although I didn't particularly ask for them and then go crazy when I didn't "thank" him properly. I got in a bad mood and decided to go home. It was late anyway.

I told K that sleazy guy said some pretty nasty things to me, that he's disgusting and I'm going home now. Here's what's weird: he said "What could I say to you that would make you think I'm disgusting? " I just gave him a WTF look, shook my head, thanked him for excellent music and a splendid night until now, but that I really didn't feel like staying any longer. We hugged, he held my hand briefly and off I went.

Now why would he say something like that? That is just absurd. He and sleazy guy has absolutely nothing in common, besides the basics - living on the same planet, being human, having a dick. Why would he want to compare himself with that sleaze bag? I don't get it. The guy was creeping me out, couldn't he see that? And to compare himself with someone who's creeping me out seems a little far fetched when I had in fact been holding K's hand earlier that night, and have spent many, many hours talking, taking walks, photographing together etc. He's about as far from sleazy and disgusting as a person can get.

That really annoyed me, and I asked him later on what he meant, but I didn't get a straight answer. He said something vague about "being curious" about "how different people work".

But seriously, why would you say something like that? This blows my mind, so please enlighten me.

Not being a mind reader there is obviously no "right" answer here.
But here is a possibility.
He might be wondering how much you are connected and attracted to him.
My husband once told me that he realized there was nothing I could do or say that would disgust him. Meaning he loved me so much and felt so one with me, that nothing could turn him off.
Maybe this guy was wondering how much you like him. As in " oh I can't think of anything that you could say that would turn me off "
Then again maybe he is just really creepy too.
Do you agree?

Question Asker Well, the creepy option isn't really an option, because he is very non-creepy. But it still was a weird thing to say. Maybe he in some very blunt way just wanted to know what's the worst thing he could say to me, so he'd avoid it. I really have no idea. - 9 months ago
