I recently parted ways with my room-mate, because we weren't getting along. At first I used to let her borrow my stuff whenever she wanted, but after the first few times that she returned my stuff broken (and wouldn't tell me, just hide it in my closet), I began to lie and say that I was planning on wearing it/I loaned it to a friend already when she asked to borrow stuff. So she started just taking my stuff. We don't live together anymore, but she still has some of my stuff. Namely a pair of boots. I have asked a few times for it back and she always just says "ok" and doesn't give them to me. I am beginning to think she has lost or damaged them beyond repair. I want to ask her "Give me my boots back or ___________" but I am not sure what the alternative would be... They were not expensive but I loved them and always got compliments on them, and they are a few years old so buying me a replacement of the exact pair is out of the questions. Can I ask for a comparable pair of boots?

IF it will make you feel better...if you can..snatch some of her sh*t and run. ;) lol Nah, forget about it. She's not worth 5 cents. She's obviously trash. You're better than her.

yeah roomates are like this at times unfortuently , you may just have to deal with the loss of some possessions at this time. and now move on into the future and find someone you like and agree with to live with instead
