This guy I know seems to hit on me a lot but I've made it clear to him that I'm not interested in him like that. The thing that puzzles me is he says that he has a few lady friends and ladies he keeps in touch with so why doesn't he just hit on them? He says he is strictly platonic friends with them but I think he's lying because if he were wouldn't he be able to be that way with me too?
Some people haven't been taught in school what the word I'm Not Interested means. My brother has some girl who does that too. He's told her nicely about 30 or 40 times to get away.

I know how you feel, and its not being too confident in that it is very irritating when you have been honest with someone and they still bug you about the same thing-- wanting to date you/hitting on you. The best thing to do is to not even attempt to be their friend. Stay away from the altogether because it only makes you dislike them as a person and you can't really be friends when you don't even like a person.
It sounds to me that you're a little too confident with yourself. Don't flatter yourself. He might not even like you. You don't have to date him so if he's hitting on you just let him do it. It's not hurting anything as long as he knows you don't like him!
