I feel like I always repulse guys because I am too fat. It makes me pressure to lose more weight so I will finally get noticed by them. I also want to lose weight for myself, but mostly for guys. I am a size 12-14 depending on the fit & brand, although I even myself out with my hips and bust. I am 16 years old. Help I need your insight on this!

Update: I mean like I am always getting dirty looks/rude comments from guys.    A month ago

Stop blaming guys for your feelings. That's the first step to fixing this problem.

1) You're 16
2) I'm guessing they're of similar age
3) Guys that age are stupid, rude and inconsiderate

If you feel like you 'want' to lose weight... go for it. Talk to your mom or your dad about it. Talk to a coach at school. They should all be willing to help.

Exercise alone won't get you there. You'll need to also alter what you eat.

That being said, a size 12 is not fat. My girlfriend is a 14 and I think she's gorgeous!

Don't lose weight for the guys- lose weight for your own sake- for your heart, for example. I suggest walking rather than being driven. Try joining an athletic club or team- it will be hard, and don't expect to place well, but it's wonderful exercise and a great place to meet boys.

From what I understand, no one is really pressuring but yourself. You want to loose weight so that guys will be interested in you more, right? If you think that losing weight will improve your confidence, go for it.

Im also a size 14, that isn't fat. But you shouldn't have to chance yourself for a guy, your 16 so that make a lot of diff there stupid and they don't no any better. If you want to lose weight for yourself then that's good, I would start going to a gym or something like that. That will help out a lot more then doing it at home and just eatting less.

Omg, your not even fat. If guys can't accept and love you for the way you look. Fuck them. You should wanna only lose weight for yourself to make yourself feel better, not for some guy. I would suggest learning to love and accept yourself for the body you have. Look yourself in the morning and say one thing you like about your body in the mirror. Wear clothes that flatter your firgure you find. Put on make-up that you find suits your face shape, color and eye color. Wear a hairstyle that you find suits your face shape. Tell yourself your beautiful even thou your not a size 0. Thier are guys out there who like a girl who's not really slim. Why do you wanna change yourself for somebody esle? You should find a guy that loves and accepts you for are. That's a true person to be with, not somebody who condems you.

Know the feeling. I was a 14-16 when I was 14 and I was always overlooked or laughed at. It does make you feel bad, whether you felt bad about it already, it's never going to be nice to have other people make rude comments at you.

I'd say, go on a diet and fitness regime if you REALLY feel the need to and if you're sure it's really for you. But 1) there are guys out there who specifically like bigger girls, 2) you don't even come into that category, size 12-14 is perfectly normal, and 3) if you find someone who really likes you for you then he won't give a flying monkey's bum what size you are anyway.

Oh, and something about those guys - guys that are loud and brash often tend to be insecure in themselves. Sometimes they don't even mean what they say. The media tells us girls should be size 6 and 5' 11" so it can seem like the 'right' thing to do, calling girls any different to that fat. You're you and one day you'll be socialising with guys mature enough to understand that.

Don't let any guy pressure you into changing yourself. Be happy with who you are. I'm skinny and I even feel pressured into changing myself by guys but I don't. If you are happy the way you are then don't change yourself, If you are not happy then do something about it but do it for the right reasons, for yourself, not for some guy.

Sometimes people can be cruel, the world is harsh and there will always be someone who has something negative to say.

Just try to ignore them! Feel comfortable and happy with yourself!

Confidence is always sexy ~

Sometimes people pick on others because they "look like a target", if you don't appear confident and you look uncomfortable in your own skin people might pick on you because they know it will bother you. As cliché as it sounds a lot of people put other people down because they aren't happy with themselves.

And I agree with what some of the guys said, if you want to lose weight go for it!

But make sure you do it in a healthy way and for the right reasons.

It will probably help you look and feel healthier, and if you feel healthier you will probably feel better about yourself!

that is not fat! girl please if those boys can't handle a real woman's body type then he can eff off. everybody is not a size 2. I'm sorry that those immature guys are repulsed by anyone that does not look like the chicks on the magazines but you have to ignore that. I did modeling for a short period and when people say how many people have eating disorders, I think the better question would be how many people DONT have eds? girls and women are dying to fit this media ideal and its stupid, it makes me angry to see guys perpetuating that. whenever a guy makes a rude comment to you tell his stupid ass off. all guys are not like that

Is not guys who are pressureing you its yourself.
If you were comfortable in your own skin you would feel gorgeous and attractive and have the confidence in yourself that draws guys effortlessly nomatter what shape you are-look at marilyn monroe.
You are only young, you aren't even done developing yet...i would suggest you don't worry about what guys think and think about what YOU think and what YOU want, and work on the inside before you look at the outside.

I have never seen the flat chested girls with their ribs sticking out with a good guy around their arm. If a guy wanted to date someone with the body of a 10 year old boy, theyd date a 10 year old boy. Just ignore rude comments, they can't really be worth it if they think a size 12 is fat.
