You probably want to wax. As a guy who shaves my face regularly, hair that is shaved with a razor will not come back "thicker" (this is technically wrong). However, because shaving cuts the hair on an angle, it WILL come back fast and stubbly, making it more visible and forcing you to do it fairly often. Not to mention, the last thing you want is to kiss a guy and have him feel YOUR stubble against his face...

You could try shaving, and then if it grows back thicker you could just wax it.

I don't see any problem with shaving. I have a couple of friends who shave their upper lip and it looks great. Don't believe that it will come back thicker and darker...it wont. Just make sure you keep up with it several times a week, because like any hair follicle it will grow back. Well, Good Luck! :)
