How many teens actually enjoy life?

I'm acutally very happy where I'm at right now. I'm 17 too. My early teens I felt that way, but then I got out of that phase and started to enjoy life again.
Of course there will be bad times, that's life. But it's your power to wake up and say "Today is going to be a good day, or Today is going to be a horrible, miserable day." You have that choice. Attitude is everything.

Meh, it has its ups and downs.

I was miserable during my early teen years, but it's because my attitude sucked. Once I got over that phase, I was a lot happier.

It's definitely better than the alternative.

In the grand scale of things, nothing we do will affect this ever expanding universe. So what then? Kill ourselves because we know our fate? Why do that? Living your life is better than ending it and doing nothing.

I hope you gain a positive perspective on life from this.

variety is the spice of life. I would think it pointless too, if I knew nothing new could ever happen.
