I've been eating salads a lot more lately (I am not going vegan, I just want to eat healthier and feel less full after I eat), and today I was eating a salad at McDonald's when some girls my age walked in. It was at that moment that I had an epiphany; I realized that I probably look like a weenie to them eating this salad instead of a hamburger or something (not that it stopped me from eating my salad).
Do you girls think it is less manly when a guy orders a salad as a meal?
I'll order a hamburger or something horribly unhealthy when I go out because my family is into healthy food, so I don't get that stuff often. Does that make me less feminine?
Some girls might think it's not manly, but I take it as a sign that you care about your health, which is a good thing.
Lol, it actually would make me think wtf? lol, that's if I didn't know him. If I knew the guy and I knew he wasn't a p**** then it would be fine him ordering a salad, well kinda, it would still be a bit weird actually lol. Sorry if this made no sense but I've changed my mind, if I knew him I would take the p*ss out of him because it's such a girly meal. No offense lol.
um it wouldn't bother me or anything, but I don't know I think it would be kind of werid on the first date if my guy ordered a salad. that's just me, later on third date etc. dating I wouldn't care at all. but I wouldn't look at it lke omg he is eating a salad I can't date him. I'll think about it for a sec and then move on. eat the salad if you like it who cares.
If you want the salad, eat the salad. If she wants to judge you on that then she isn't worth it. The only reason she would be upset about you ordering the salad is if it made her feel like a fat cow for ordering the steak. But that is her issue, not yours.
No. I'd assume you were eating what you wanted. Actually, the sight of a guy eating a salad would make me think:
a) He's trying to eat healthier, get in shape and take care of himself b) There's some lucky girl he's trying to get in shape for so she'll notice him (awww!) c) They have good salads here - even the guys like 'em!
I'd smile at a guy like that! It's cute! I mean, I might tease him a tiny bit - like ask him if his salad is good with a big smile on my face because it would be the obvious way to start a conversation - but I would quickly confess that I thought it was cute and ask him who the lucky girl was. ;) Seriously, what an endearing question! Love how guys think sometimes!
I really don't think they even care what you are eating Camilus. I haven't noticed a single girl judge a guy for even a second based on how he eats. First impressions usually lie on looks and personality, not healthy eating habits. So no, you don't look like a weenie to these girls.
I'll tell you what's "less manly" worrying about what a woman thinks about what you eat. You are a confident masculine male, you eat what you want, drink what you want, you are a leader of men, you are the master of your life. For god sake don't take a woman out to dinner on a first date! Be original. Every guy takes her out to eat but not you. You have to be different, be fun, be creative and most of all don't be a wussy!
I concur with your answer but this is a hypothetical query. I don't have any girlfriend or dates lined up right now and I don't have a problem eating salads in public, I was just wondering what women think about guys they see eating salads .....especially with me because I look like a guido and have some thickness with big arms, not like a typical vegetarian that is scrawny and got that neo-hippie look - 15 days ago
