Am I being a psycho yet again?

My boyfriend really, really, really likes belly dancers. He's asked me a few times to learn and do it for him, and under other circumstances I'd love to. But the only reason he likes it so much is because his ex girlfriend used to do it; the supposed "love of his life" who he's told me absolutely everything about. All the reasons he loves her, how beautiful she is, how he'd give anything just to be able to look at her one more time... stuff that kind of stung. I don't think I'd be able to without thinking about her and getting even more bitter.
Am I over thinking this, or is that reasonable?

If anyone's being psycho, it sounds like him.

I mean, it can take along time to get over an ex. And we've all probably said things about exes that might've been better left unsaid.

But it sounds like this guy's rubbing your face in it, and trying to change you into her.

Have you mentioned that you felt hurt hearing about the ex?

Question Asker Yeah, and he's stopped talking about her for the most part. The reason I think I might be getting weird about this is because he stopped a while ago, maybe four months, but he still keeps asking me for this. - 15 days ago

If my girlfriend said "hey, can you buy a lexus, my ex had one and I loved him alot."

I'd tell her no and fuk off.

It's weird that he'd ask you to do things to remind him of a past love. That's a slap in the face.

He's not over her yet. More importantly, YOU deserve someone who's ready and willing to give you their full attention. If I were you, I'd honestly re-think being with this guy.

It does not sound like he is over her. You might be the rebound girl. He basically wants you to do things his ex did and become a mini her? Not a good sign
