How could a very hot guy be so liked by so many girls ,yet not have a girlfriend for a few years?

Because he REALLY likes one girl, and that girl most likely doesn't like him or hasn't shown any signs of liking him. All guys won't just take w/e girls throw themselves at us

Same reason I am. He doesn't trust them (do they like me or do they like the way I look? ) and is afraid they'll screw up his life. Eventually it comes to a point where the drama is no longer worth it and thus it is better to eschew the companionship than to deal with its complications. He also might have high standards. Think Pygmalion and galitea.

It could be that he's a player. If he settles down, the whole game is over. He's single so he can sleep with any girl, since he has no problem in that area!

Because he wants his freedom to date EVERY woman who likes him. OR it could be because he has not been snagged by a woman who he feels is a good match for him.

For example, I have been single for 2. 5 years and am approached every day by a guy to date. However, I have not met a guy who is a good match or shared my wants/needs.

Just because he's hot doesn't mean he's easy, shallow, or doesn't have morals & will go for any girl. He probably has a really good head on his shoulders, knows what he's looking for, and won't settle for anything less.
