Ok. at my work. I think this guy, adam, is cute. And we say hi's and bye's. but I'm not as close to him as I am with the other workers.
but all the other male employees are interested in me. They've even asked me for my number. Turned them down though. this one guy,kevin, who I turned down works at the same department as adam. I'm not sure if kevin told adam about the the whole number thing. Do guys gossip about that stuff?. And does that play me off as a bitch or something? I catch adam staring at me when he is at the front desks and stuff. But he does that "look away quick" thing when I catch him. I mean other people might smile. But we don't. If you were a man in adams position. What would be going on in your head?
We sometimes share that we are interested in a girl. "First dibs" is usually respected by most guys. Also, if you are getting asked out by all of the guys in your store, it might make Adam not think it's worth trying himself if he is interested. Some of us guys don't like too much competition.
Try having a conversation with him. If I were him, I wouldn't be asking you out if I didn't think you were interested in me enough to say something. You don't have to flat out say you want to date him or anything, but just be friendly and personable. More than you are with the other guys that work there. That should clue him in that he is your #1 choice.

Talk about what is going on in the store, like when you find out about a new policy or maybe shipment of goods, use that as an icebreaker. Anything you might have in common is a good thing to talk about. The next time you say hi together, ask him a question, or give him a complement (guys take those as a sign of interest as well).
