Why is this guy ignoring me?

Hi, I would like to ask what anyone thinks of this. I currently study full-time and most of my college mates are in their 30's/40's plus and mainly women, except about three guys. One of these guys will avoid me at all cost. I could talk to him and he would then talk to someone else in the class as if I wasn't even there. If I am in the room, he will leave, he basically ignores me unless I go up to him and talk to him about something, then he seems friendly enough.

He certainly has no problem talking to any of the other girls there, but for some reason I am the one that gets ignored. I have never experienced this in my life especially from someone that barely knows me. Any advice would be wonderful thank you.
