Its awkward feeling cause your right I'm not his girl but he's calling me baby? That word is just used so carelessly like "I love you" It lost its value because people use it so loosely and don't mean it. It just sounds good. So no I really don't like it when a guy calls me baby cause I'm not his baby. So call me by my name.

It depends. But in many rap&hip-hip music videos, we often see the rappers singing about one night stands or hooking up with all these sexy women. I, for one, it's somewhat flattering, but a guy who says that must have a lot of confidence or experience. This is what I call a "player." Except for a significant other, like a girlfriend or wife or child(ren). But sometimes, it's best to say that in safe situations. Like a compliment. " Hey baby, your dress is hot on you." It's okay with calling someone that. Just don't make it seem like your being sarcastic or trying to embarrass someone.
Ok I don't like the name baby to be honest but some of my guy friends call me it sometimes but they mostly just call me honey or pet or babes and I don't have a problem with that because everyone I know does that and that's just are way but only my good friends not people I only know a week!
