My ex and I just recently started talking again (we broke up in February) I was totally honest with him when he asked if I had been with anyone since we had ended our relationship (yes I have) He on the other hand swears he hasn't but I'm having a hard time believing him. I have had guys tell me before they weren't with anyone else when they really were. So my question should I really believe that he hasn't been with anyone since us?
By no means would I care if he had because we were broke up but if he says he hasn't but actually has what is the point in lying about it?
Did you break up with him? If you did, there's a good chance he's telling the truth, if not I agree with honesty11, you have to make the judgement call on whether he would be the kind of guy to lie about it, but by any means don't tell him you think he's lying if he has never done anything like that before, nothing hurts more than that to a guy who is actually being honest!
I believe that the greatest way to tell is by your own instincts. I know many guys that would rather have their ex "know" that she had been the only one to cheat. It makes him feel better and give him an advantage in a way. Other than that, does he seem like the kind of guy that would lie about something like that to gain ground on the relationship or do you believe that he is being honest. If there is a doubt than you may want to bring it up again and see how he reacts.
I think he is lying. I was in the same situation. My boyfriend and I broke up for a couple months and he swore that he was not with anyone else. EVER! But then I found out he had been dating this nasty chick for like the whole time we weren't together! What a douche bag! But That's just my opinion. I hope your guy would have the balls to just come forward and just tell you the truth. Because If you find out otherwise through the grapevine, then you probably won't be happy. Good luck.
