OK, I will try to keep this short (I will fail). I know the whole "workplace relationship" hoopla so you can leave that out. Ha ha! But I work with this guy that since December we have been friends. We had shared a desk at one point and I would always catch him staring at me, sometimes he'd look away, sometimes we would smile at each other ,and other's he would just be like. I'm just watching you work. Ha! Anyway, we talk all the time about everything, generally asking questions to get to know each other better. I used to live in Africa and he went home and learned more about it, he also likes to sing Africa by Toto to me. He can be in a conversation with someone and I will walk by he will always turn to me and say Hi (and my name). He gets really goofy around me sometimes, like giddy, sometimes telling me to look and he'll flex or something. He also has asked me to cook for him a few times, and he loves everything I've made and is always looking at what I am eating to see if he wants some! Ha ha! But recently I (probably shouldn't have emailed it but. ) emailed him asking him if he wanted to see a movie since my friends wouldn't go with me (not that I ever asked them, ha! ) and he didn't respond. He has told me before that he would rather talk to me than text, and I know he is busy at work so that could be the reason he didn't answer.
Basically, do you think this guy is into me? I think, and several others think so, but maybe he's shy? He has asked me a couple times to go with groups of coworkers out after work but I was busy both times and said no (I know. Stupid me! ). Your thoughts?
I think he is a little shy and would like you to go with a group because of it. But I say try it go out with him and coworkers and see how it goes if he doesn't make a move try it yourself!
I think if he tries to flex and be all macho around you, there's probably some interest. Think of a male peacock. Or a baboon. They try to look their best around the pretty ladies, and make it a point to strut their stuff. As for asking him to the movie, it will probably make his day. After all, he did try twice to get you to go :) If he asked you to go in a group, he may be shy and feel more comfortable going as a group at first.
I encountered an article on good old GirlsAskGuys that frankly pissed me off a bit, and felt I had to counter respond. The article seemed to indicate that if a guy is friends with a girl then she...
