My most recent girlfriend wrote the nicest letter to me telling me how much she cared for me and how perfect I was for her. I mean this was a full blown out love letter.

on the other hand.

She was always late, never really wanted to hangout and when she did hangout all she wanted was sex. She would rarely invite me out with her. She didn't even want to see me on her graduation day.

Do actions speak louder than words? This is exactly why I get so confused in relationships. They say one thing and do another. How do I know who to believe?

(I know some guys might be thinking "well what is wrong with her just wanting to have sex?" and I say nothing. but let me know that I shouldn't let my emotions get involved.)

Yes. People can tell you anything and lie all they want, but it takes effort to continuously show their feelings through how they act.

I am so surprised at that situation though, this is the first I've heard of a female acting like that usually it would be a guy. But it sounded like she just wanted sex. =/

Question Asker Yeah but what if she is sleeping with like 10 other guys who are sleeping with 10 other women? std's? no thanks... - 6 months ago
Answerer WOW!!! If she was a fraction of the slut you just purposed, believe me it would not be a secret. You would have some kind of knowledge of her f***ing around. Besides that you have already been in her pants and apparently have not contracted any of the possible special gifts available - 6 months ago

Well, I'm a firm believer in actions speak louder than words, now anyways, I recently just went through something similar he would say all this great stuff, but act completely different, I finally just came to the conclusion that he didn't know what the hell he wanted (never had sex with him) so I just said F*** it and moved on, I was letting it drive me crazy, by trying to analyze everything, so I had to move on, there was no consistency with him and honestly my opinion of him started to change because of it, I think he is a flake. In my opinion your only as good as your word, and if you can't keep your word then well.there is no credibility, no trust, nothing. Believe yourself and how you feel, go with your gut, don't second guess yourself, you know how you feel. Or maybe she's just better with putting things down on paper rather than showing you thru actions that she cares, who knows, ask her about it. Good Luck!

Yes, actions do speak louder than words, however this one seems like she is scared to make the commitment or she is just stringing you along for some great sex. I know that if I care for a man and his graduation means a lot to him, I would make sure I am there. Yeah, the letter is nice, but what else? She obviously does not care as much as you think unless she's playing a silly game, and in that case, walk away.

If you are ever confused, turn off the volume. Actions tell you all you need to know about your relationship. It seems clear she enjoys having sex with you but isn't looking for a committed relationship (not everyone is).

Words lie. Her actions indicate that none of what she is saying in the letter is true. That's fine, simple believe what you see and go from there.

This is so true.
My girlfriend -last night - again! - wanted me to come to bed and "cuddle". She just turns out the light and disappears under covers! We had a wonderful evening sitting, talking, laughing - having fun. WTF!
How are guys supposed to deal with these mixed signals!
