Theres this guy I like. He's a good bit older than I am. To him I was mature then he got to know my immature side. I like to play around wayy to much and joke around. I like him a lot and I miss him flirting with me with my mature side. but I can't help how I am sometimes I just do it without thinking. Should I slightly change my ways to see how it goes or should I just be myself and forget him for not liking me for who I am? its just that I like him so much but we are set off by a big age difference I just don't know what to do
Well double edged sword here, if he is far older than you, than in my opinion you shouldn't be trying to get with him any ways, but that's not what you were asking, though I won't remain quiet about my opinion on that; and think of it this way, if you are likely going to be more mature with tim any ways why not change slightly, who knows you might actually have more fun (at least try, if you don't like it you can always switch back right?) Just remeber you're the only one that has to live with you your whole life no matter what, so make sure you love you, before you love anyone else, people die and go away, but you can't be alone without you.
You can't change your personality. a personality isn't something you can change over night. It's a gradual process. That's why many relationships fail, because people think they have to change. No you dont, you have to be right for each other to start off with.
Just be yourself. It's always the people that we care about that we fear will get to know us the best. You care about what he thinks of you, and that makes you feel vulnerable to being found out as an immature person. Be yourself, and if he can't love you for that, than he isn't for you. He might find your immature side a bit quirky in a good way, a sort of attraction to him.
Don't change your personality for someone else. If he doesn't like your personality, then he doesn't like you. It's not worth it to change who you are for him. I did it once ad I was completely unhappy with the person I had become. Stay true to yourself.
