Over a month ago this guy and I ended up holding hands on the way back from a trip (and he pulled me in closer to himself). I only got to talk to him in person one time after that and he seemed happy to see me. I won't be seeing him until fall semester but I have in on facebook. I initiated a few conversations with him online (and dropped a pretty obvious hint that I like him). The conversations seemed pretty positive but it seemed like I was the one who was moving them along by asking questions. He isn't totally blowing me off though because this one time when he had to sign off while we were talking I didn't immediately write a response to his message and later that night he sent another message saying "you didn't write me a message to come back to.etc.". I wrapped up a conversation a week ago and told him to drop me a line sometime.
I can't tell whether he likes me or not. If he doesn't ever message me first does that mean he doesn't like me? Is it a bad idea to ask him if there is anything between us? Is it better to just wait it out and see how things go in the fall?
