Did I freak him out?

Poetry is a way to touch somebody through his/her emotions. So if the person is open, sensitive or romantic, it would be fine. So in my opinion, its good try out such ways of showing feeling as it reveals the persons true feelings but yes, one should look before doing so because believe it or not, some people just think it is retarded.

I would think that when you were little you liked the story of Cinderella and the poems of Shel Silverstein. I wonder if I'm right or wrong, lol, just a guess. Anyway, I agree with Deepblade, every guy is different but I'd think it's pretty cool.

did you know that a lot of guys actually like poetry to some degree. But It doesn't sound like you would have freaked him out.
