Does someone always want more? Maybe it's easier if both are in a relationship, or even if one is in a relationship. I believe girls make excellent friends, but sometimes I keep wondering what an actual relationship with her would be like.
Update: But I hate when people use friendship as some sort of consolation prize. Nutmeg, when you say some of your best friends are guys, well it may be easier for you if you don't have any feelings for them, but ever wonder if any of them have feelings for you?

guys and girls can be just friends but at some point one or the other will want more even if its just for a week , one person always wants more eventually. because you grow attached to the person and you trust them.
Its possible, but the chances are high for the guy or girl to want more. Most of my friends, and best friends are guys. But the only guy-friendship-relationship that really lasted were with the ones who were in a relationship. The other guys, fell in love, as the friendship grew. It's very natural though, if you think about it. If you're single, and lonely, why not go for the one (of the opposite sex) you get along with?
it's for sure possible, some of my best friends are guys. I find that sometimes someone does want more, and that can make things weird. it's a balance when you're friends with the opposite sex. sometimes it can get weird, but you deal.
I think so. As of recent, I am hanging out with girls more than guys. Sometimes I'll be the only guy with a bunch of girls making generalizations about guys, then they remember I'm there and we all laugh. I do not want more out of any of them, except for one but she is already in a relationship. So yes, guys and girls can be just friends.
