Why don't guys reply back to me?

I'm a shy person, so I usually talk to guys online (hence, why I'm here.) But whenever I leave a message on a guy's facebook wall, or email him, they never reply back! Only the ones that I'm really close friends with will respond with something. I just can't understand why most of them don't. Is it just a guy thing or are my messages just not worth replying to?

Btw, the stuff I usually write to them about is usually comments about funny stuff they've done in class or just silly comments in general. But there has to be SOME response to that.

Exactly what kind of comment you leave,is important here. Other factors may be the kind of display pic you have on Facebook, your network and so on. I'll suggest you to leave a comment with "Open ended" questions hidden in them. Generally asking question, triggers a response to answer them . So ask questions which are of some interest to you and the guys. It could be flirtatious ,cool and sassy. Just keep your questions original and of course Silly.
