Ok so we're out one night with the work crowd and I'm walking very closely with this guy I've liked for some time. He's so shy so I'm practically following him around trying to get us alone. Finally we are and he stops in his tracks turns and faces me head on, stands with his face inches from mine and half closes his eyes. He just sorta stands there waiting. WHY DIDN'T HE KISS ME? I know I could have kissed him but dear god can a guy really be this shy?

He probably isn't sure about how he feels, or about how you feel, either. Men can be amazingly shy, especially when they really care about someone and they don't want things to go wrong.
And if he leans in for the kiss, you can't expect him to go ALL the way; you've got to lean in, too, otherwise he'll feel like you don't want to be kissed.

You know when you really like someone it makes you do stupid things? Yeah well this was my stupid thing. I'm kicking myself now. But he's done one or two stupid things with us too so we're even! I just hope we get it right sooner or later :( - 5 months ago

Did you move in also? Maybe you didn't LOOK like you wanted him to kiss you? I don't know. But next time.just go for it. Set it up if you have to. Then when your a couple you can tease him about your first "almost kiss" LOL

Actually I didn't move in for it, I totally should have, but I guess I was just so surprised he was even doing this. He wasn't really flirting much with me that night, so I was shocked when he did this. Then before I knew it the moment had passed. But we continued to stick together that night but never got a chance to be alone again. I haven't been out with him since :( It's amazing how shy men can be. You know when you want something so bad, when you get close to it you kind of can't believe it - 5 months ago
