Every good guy I've ever met has been extremely serious with me WAY to quick. They say I love you within 2 weeks and it drives me insane. The last one I wasn't even dating yet, or talking to him for more than 2 weeks before he said I love you. Am I too old fashioned? Or is it odd?
Saying I love you to me (that early)confuses things and makes me feel like maybe they are just in it to get into my pants.

Usually good guys don't have a lot of self esteem, so they try everything they can to try and make you stay. So you need to reassure them that they don't need to try so hard, and that if they overdo it, it pushes you away. Saying I love you early is definitely not a good thing. As far as trying to get in your pants, depends on the guy. If he's really a good guy, then he's not, but if he's not a good guy, then he will try and get in them.

Question Asker I agree with you on that. I've been told I'm beautiful, and most guys in my class flirt with me and say I'm gorgeous. I have a low self-esteem though. I know what a good guy is, and I tend to am for the mediocre lookers so that I might have a chance at finding one.

I've told this one guy about how it makes me feel, him saying it so early, and he continues to say it. He's written 2 poems for me saying it, and a song. He's a really sweet guy, but it scares me. lol. - 5 months ago
Answerer Well be honest with him hun. Tell him that you appreciate him being generous, but tell him that it's ok to turn it down a cpl notches. Tell him that he doesn't have to try so hard, and tell him that if he keeps pushing, it's going to push you away. No one wants to be around someone that is clingy, whether in a relationship or a friendship. We just get pushed away from people that try way too hard. That's why cocky guys get so many girls, they aren't clingy and don't try. - 5 months ago

I think you have a good read on what's going on. I may be wrong, but it seems that guys today are using the "I love you" line early because they want in your pants. Girls in turn are easy to give it up because he says he loves me.

I think you're being very perceptive; keep it up! (and your pants too:)

Question Asker I think some guys are like that, specially in the town I live in. Its hard to tell when they are being sincere anymore. I don't trust easily anymore... I guess I never have.
I appreciate the advice. I plan to keep them up though. = ] - 5 months ago

I am very wary of guys who say I love you too early. I think they are just trying to get in your pants because it's no way you can love someone in that short amount of time.

Question Asker I agree fully. Unless you guys were like best friends before, but that isn't my case. - 5 months ago
