Why do girls like to use pics which they took themselves facing a mirror?

I have noticed more men doing this than women. And to me, it looks like they are full of themselves.

I have to say that I agree with knowing how to make myself look better in a picture, but at the same time, I hate how the flash and the phone/camera are just right there in the picture.
I've seen pictures where you can't even see the person's face because it's covered by the flash. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of taking a picture in the first place?

Honestly, it's because we are more in control of how we can suck it in here, tilt our head there, put a strand of hair over here, get the right lighting.etc etc. Women in general like pictures but we don't want bad pictures taken of us. And nowadays it's a lot easier to use a phone with all the PDA's out there and whatnot.
