Why do guy use pick up line

its strange what all a guy has to do to get a gal. Gals like it or rather expect a guy 2 come up with a pick up line if she has to be impressed. But I have used a pick up line tho. But have had my friends ask me on what sort of pick up lines to use. Please be considerate gals, don't expect us to have a phd in sentence formation.

its not the fact if it works or not but throwing a pickup line is the most straight forward a guy can be to let you know he's interested in you, evilsheepempire couldn't have said it better anyone can go to the friend stage that's why guys use pickup lines to skip right through that catastrophe lol, to know whether you like him or not

You think if the pickup line is lame that our reason for doing it has failed right? WRONG, COMPLETELY WRONG.

Pickup lines always work in that we get past the "ok wtf does this guy want stage" and you know that we like you. So that saves us a bit of time in having to jump the friends hurdle. Once you know we like you then you can judge if you like us back or not.

a pick up line is an ice-breaker. with intent.

if a guy just says "hello" to you, he could be an acquaintance or a guy seeking friendship.

but if a guy uses a pickup line, than his intention with you is clear.he is interested, and he has taken the bait. all you need to do is set the hook and you're home free.

good question, I have never used one myself because I know its the best way to fail completely at meeting someone. I think mayby some guys just arnt as clued up and don't see it that way
