It's better than not talking at all for sure, that just shows us how uninterested you are in us. Talking is great, just don't overdo it as well. You can over and under do it. If you over do it he might think your stuck on yourself, or that you think it has to all be about you.

I enjoy it when a girl talks. It tells me that they are comfortable around me and is confident. I like to listen and pull out key things you said while talking, so it makes the conversation keep rolling.

When it gets quiet it scares me and makes me wonder. Its the awkward silence where 2 people are thinking in their head. Does he or she like me? If you can keep up the conversation then you'll be fine.

That-Guy A lot of girls get nervous and talk too much. Some get quiet while others blab. - A month ago
Answerer Maybe that's a sign for some people? If girls get too nervous they don't feel comfortable. When they keep blabbing on it means they are comfortable with this person, which can lead into things. That's how I take things, others may not. (Not sure why I got a bad report for a support question but oh well). - A month ago

In the beginning, I would probably enjoy just listening. But as I got to know the person more, I would probably want to achieve more of a balance between each other.

You like it when a guy rambles on and on about himself and doesn't ask anything about you?

Find a balance in the conversation as we've all encountered the chatter box.

But if you insist on talking a lot either wear low cut shirt or buy him drinks.

Depends on the talk. When I'm on a date, I want to know more about the other person. I don't want to hear too about lets say this random story about how some guy bumped into you in the Starbucks line and didn't apologize. Though I would like to hear stories about things that are important to you.

it is a fact that people like to talk about themselves and feel more connected to people who listen to what they have to say. make sure you are asking a lot of questions about him and what he thinks about what you say. find a balance. show him you have a mind, but don't be a me monster --> "me me me me me me me." you get the point.

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
"Hey, I'm Jon, what's your name", or make some funny comment about the surroundings etc, keeping it light

How do they typically respond?
They either reciprocate or they don't, for the most part they do. If not, I simply move on

Do I have the right approach?
