I know of several different guys, who although they don't fit with their group, and don't like most of the people in it, stick with it, just because. Why? Why can't they find another one?
Men need camaraderie and will endure a lot of pain to "feel" like they belong to a group, even if they don't like the group. However, this need to belong is deeper than the group and basically applies to life. When we realize, at the deep levels, that we belong because God made us, and keeps us breathing, it becomes easier to leave a group and find one we can enjoy, or give them up altogether. We might still like to be in a group but, it no longer is part of our identity.
I know this from a lot of similar personal experience. If you're someone who normally has people to be around, it's very hard to not connect with a group. and finding a different group is really hard thing to do, because it's a lot easier to not risk losing association.
