I have this friend who is hooking up with my bf's best friend. She tells me everything about their hookups and my boyfriend wants me to tell him what she says. He tells me what his friend says about her but its never anything substantial and she's very detailed. Anyway, she's sleeping with other ppl. I trust my boyfriend wouldn't tell his friend but I don't know if that is betraying her trust. How much should I be telling him?
Let me ask a question. Is she telling you this stuff in a manner that suggests bragging? If so, suggest she stop telling you intimate details about her relationships. They are not yours and you do not need to know details about private parts of someone else's life. They are compromising your friendship by telling you things that could lead to allegiances being tested. You don't want to lie to your boyfriend, you don't want him to lie to his friend, so she needs to keep her mouth shut, unless it is something she wouldn't mind her boyfriend hearing from her.
When your boyfriend wants details, tell him that you thought his friends was there. That should do it. He has no right asking this of you. Just like you would not ask of him. He might not just want to know if you would stand up for your friends, etc. Good Luck!
I would stay out of it totally. Her relationship with your bf's friend has nothing to do with you. I'd keep my mouth shut and not compromise either relationship.
