How do guys like to be cheered up?

a night in, get in comfy clothes, order(or make dinner) for him, get some wine or his favorite drink, watch a movie or relaxing tv, give him a really nice massage (including however much you are comfortable with).a girl can really make a guy's night if she wants to :)

One girlfriend was good at just laying next to me. Unfortunately, she didn't do it much. Just being there cuddling was cool. If I was tired, and was falling asleep, she'd surprise me and hug me or rub my back.

I'm sure that just you showing up without telling him will be a surprise, but maybe take him out for dinner and a movie or something like that. Or, cook him a romantic dinner at his place and rent a video or something. Cuddle up on the couch with him. Guys like a good action or horror flick now and then. Also, a nice thick juicy steak beforehand hits the spot! Bring a bottle of wine or your favorite drink. Give him a back massage, and then the two of you can get more romantic! If none of this stuff is what he would be into, ask him what he would be into. Some guys are into going out on the town or something after a rough week in order to cut loose. However, I think it would depend on your guy and what he likes.
