I have posted anonymous question to analyze Guns and roses song "November rain" and asked what this guy who said it reminds him of me, feels about me.I got positive answers. Anyways, I really like him and I'm thinking about a relationship, but I'm not quit sure where I'm getting. He's a nice guy in his family, very loves it and shows concern about my parents. But he's metal and hard rock fan. He used to have those evil little statues in his room and listen to bands like Iron maiden, and you probably know the rest, that metal lovers listen to. He used to date those psycho girls and have sex with them. He even dated two bisexual girls. And now it seems he wants to commit, because I'm a good girl. I like rock music 2 but not metal. We both share same taste in U2, Pink floyd, bon jovi and some more classic rock bands.
The problem is that I'm afraid to commit to him. What if he will most likely cheat on me or hurt me? Because those stereotype of guys usually are weird and jerks. Although sometimes he gets in that father mode and gives me smart advices and it feels that he cares for me more than he'd for some psycho girl. He's a crazy punk. But I know inside he's a good guy, but his exterior is devilish. Do you think his style would affect our relationship in negative way? What is it like to date a guy like that? And do these guys more respect girls like me or those punk girls who basically have the same style as they?

Like you said, it's a stereotype that those guys are weird jerks. If he wants to be in a committed relationship with you, I think that says a lot--you shouldn't just assume that he'll cheat because of the girls he's been with in the past. His taste in music doesn't mean that he can't care about people. And his style can only affect your relationship in a negative way if you let it.

By the way, my dad's always been into metal, and my mom hates it, but they've been together for almost 30 years.
