Women sure call us men sexist alot, yet they say things such as, "It's a women thing." I'm just curious who exactly established it as, "just a women thing?" Was there some committee and hearing I wasn't invited to?
I think women say that to make you understand some aspect of their behavior--like asking "do I look fat in these jeans"--men will never understand why we ask and probably will forever think it to be lame.
Personally if I ask a question like that it isn't loaded--I really want to know--I am curvy so some things I look good in some I don't--I accept that. my hubby is brutally honest too--but I appreciate it.
Like Cool, I don't like being stereotypes and lumped into a group by other women--there is so many aspects of female behavior I don't agree with (like the blind devotion to stupid shows like SEX 'N THE CITY) or acting cattily towards pretty chicks.
I guess that's where a man's logic comes in and a bugging device ;). - More than a year ago

I think women would expect men to do something like that, so we would be prepared for a "man's logic" and a bugging device :] - More than a year ago
Question Asker
No becauase women are so anti-electronics and thinking. It takes too much work.. They wouldn't know the first thing on how to counter that. They wouldn't know they could use an anti-bugging device. Which would prevent such things. because they are so "Stuck" on themselves and their way of thinking. - More than a year ago

Anti-electronics? I could bug the room myself! Hiding mics isn't exactly rocket science--I learned how to do it in a film class. Finding them isn't that hard either if you know what to look for.
If all else fails, a room full of women could easily get a man to come and help with an anti-bugging device. - More than a year ago
Yes, the double standard here is pretty obvious. Any time they don't have a way to defend their position in a debate they invoke 'the women thing.you're a guy you can't understand.'
Of course we can say 'it's a guy thing' but they will challenge you, while it seems to be some sort of rule that once they say it's a 'gal issue' you can't challenge it and the discussion is over!
How many times have you heard the 'women thing' dismissal? I bet I've heard it 50 times.

Over the years, I probably, like most other men, have been on the receiving end of man-bashing resentments. Nothing quite like women having the gumption in telling me in my face how much I am a loser...
