I been really good friends with this guy for 3 years and we've always friend flirted, but lately he's been acting very protective. When we hang out in a group I'll talk to another guy he looms over the conversation and at socials he pushes guys away from me. AND just to top it off I was told by the guys at his school that he has been saying I'm "taken". How should I deal? He'd be a good boyfriend, but I wouldn't be able to deal with him being so protective. Would him knowing I'm actually his girlfriend help him ease up? HELP!
No, look you really need to think about what you want. from the sounds of it he really fancies you and with the flirting you are sending him across the same signals. If you like him enough to go out with him fair enough, but you risk loosing the freindship if things go wrong or he dosn't ease off, otherwise just sit him down and tell him your not interested in anything other than friendship because its not fair on him either.
If he thinks that ye are an item, obviously he is going to get jealous wouldn't you, hopefully this helps you out somewhat.
You should so give it a try. Maybe he is just so protective because he is really into you. I think if you give him a chance he might ease up a little bit my boyfriend was like that too.
