So, there’s this guy at my school I’ve been really good friends with for about four/five years now, let’s call him Joe… He had a crush on me for maybe a year? It made it quite awkward between us, I’m a little shy and in spite of this (he’s sort of shy too) we became really good friends. . Well after nearly a year he quickly got over his crush on me, which I was happy about at the time because it was getting awkward, but I stupidly started to like him a little while after that…talk about bad timing… So eventually I decided that I had to get over him. Then at the start of this year, his best friend (let’s call him Tim…) had a party and we both went and I tried to act normally…which of course I failed miserably at…argh. I hoped nobody else had noticed, and I was pretty sure they hadn’t, until a couple of weeks later I was talking to Tim and he asked me if I liked Joe…none of my friends knew – they still don’t know (thankfully). I finally said yeah and Tim said he thought Joe liked me. I was pretty sure he didn’t (female intuition!) and a couple of weeks later, Tim told me Joe had told him he liked this other girl. (this was maybe six months ago?) However lately I’m not sure if he likes me or not…some days he will be like my best friend and ditch all his friends to come hang out with me, but other days he will pretty much ignore me. He does cute, funny things all the time like sneak up behind me, or jump out behind corners and scare me, borrow my ipod and tell me what he thinks of all my music, write notes to me on my friends’ arms who he has classes with, write on my hands (lol he is a bit weird, but then so am I…), puts his hands on my waist so my friends can’t tickle me, chat after school, etc…but other times he will just ignore me! We talk online a lot and email fairly regularly. I can deal with it if he doesn’t like me, I don’t really mind as long as he’s happy, but I wish I knew for sure one way or the other. So help! Anyone! Tell me what you think please? Sorry it was so long!
At your age it's good to see various people and not be tied down. Nothing wrong with that. Don't worry about it and enjoy yourself and let him do what he wants without gossiping or interfering with him.
When you're both a little older and if there's still an attraction.THEN try to restart things. For now.
