Recently I started a relationship with a wonderful girl. Though she lives in Virginia and I in Texas, I recently came to visit for ten days to see if we were compatible. Last night, I found out that she made a date with another guy a week before I came for while I was there. She says she doesn't like him in that way, but she knows he does. She's been talking to him more and more and is acting distant and often doesn't reply to any messages I send her. She won't respond to any messages I send her online as if she's afraid that others would find out about me. (She says she doesn't talk to anyone online, but I know that's not the truth.) Last week, (two days before I came to Virginia to visit her and the same day that he started talking to her more.) she brought up a concern that worried me greatly; "I'm worried that at some point in the future, I'll lose feelings for you just as I did for my last boyfriend.". She seems really into me while in person and we've been very close for quite some time. She knew that I was looking for a serious relationship and she acknowledged that she was looking for the same with me and only me (as she stated that I was too special to pass up). She had always said she felt bad about herself after her last relationship, and I've worked on helping her self-esteem. I've been very supportive and attentive to her. We're also extremely attracted to each other physically. We have much in common and I care about her very much, but I also have to look out for my own feelings as well. She says she doesn't know if she wants a relationship at all anymore, but her feelings for me haven't changed. She stayed up last night talking to him on AIM. Is she cheating on me after I've spent so much time with her and after putting so much of myself into the relationship? Is it too much to ask to only go on dates with me for the duration of my ten day stay, just so we know if we're actually compatible or not? Thank you for your answers.

I don't know if she's cheating but clearly she's not worth the trip to Virginia. She's playing games with you and the other guy, maybe trying to see how you will react.but it doesn't matter why. Stay away from her. Texas is a big place and there must be less deceptive women a little closer to home.

If I were you I'd learn Spanish since women in Mexico rarely act anything like this. You know where they stand and they aren't standing there to hide something behind them like US women tend to do.

Question Asker Interesting take on it. I wish I wasn't in virginia when she started all of this, but yeah. Appreciate your input! - 4 months ago
