Nervous speaking in front of class?

In a survey of people's fears, public speaking is number one, followed by death. Which means that at a funeral, most people would rather be in the casket, than giving the eulogy.

This is a very common fear that you will really only be able to conquer through practice.

Mostly girls? It happens to everyone, trust meh >.<.

For me, my legs start shaking, and I start being able to hear my pulse. What's weird is sometimes I can go on stage and have NONE of these problems, just public speak like I'm talking to a large group of my friends. Other times it seems I can barely talk I'm so nervous/running out of breathe.

Public speaking is actually the most common fear, so it's definitely not just girls who have that problem.

But it's pretty common for me to have a panic attack before I do a presentation. I've gotten better about it though. Just make sure you're prepared. Practice what you're going to say beforehand, and use index cards if you have to. And tell yourself that it will go well. If you expect things to go wrong, they will.

i have the same problem! whenever I'm getting ready to present something, my pulse speeds up. but the worst part is I don't know why cause in reality, I'm not that nervous. its just my automatic reaction I guess. But next time, just try and get your self confidence up. it usually works for me once I realize that I have nothing to be afraid of, if anything youd look worse if you were squeaking from embarassment rather then just messing up your speech a little.
