There is this guy, H, I have been dating for a few months. Well the other day I was sitting next to him at a work related meeting and one of my male friends,J, who works with my date,H, and whom I have not seen in a year, came up to me to say hi. Well we were speaking for a few minutes when my date,H, got up and left. He avoided eye contact with me for the remainder of the meeting and never came back to sit with me. Well my friend J, not knowing that I am dating H came to sit next to me about two hours after H left. I am sure H saw him sitting next to me. Since then 2 weeks ago he has not called, anything! I used to speak to my date occasionally about my friend J since he works with him. What do you think is up with H?
Clearly he thinks you are up to something with J. Are you? He must have more than just that you talking to him to act like this.
Remember there are no secrets about work relationships. If you have or had something going with J, no matter how discreet you might have thought you were, H would find out. Sooner or later.he might have asked around after you talked to J.
Good luck fixing this. You know how sticky it is at work with many people knowing. It makes it hard to make up to H.and since you let this go on for 2 weeks, he will assume you don't care about him and probably it will be impossible to restart with him.
