There is this guy who I dated for a couple of months but then he said that he didn't want to date any more because he didn't want anything to ruin are friendship or anything to come between us. But now he has a new girlfriend and he always wants me to hang out with them and gets mad at me when I tell him I don't want to be a third wheel and he says I never am or will be. Tonight he is cooking his girlfriend and I a stake dinner, WTF?!?!?! He knows that I still have feelings for him and I have even told him its hard for me to see them together then 20 min later he calls me and asks me if I want to go out to dinner with them. WHY IS HE DOING THIS TO ME?
It seems like this guy has a big ego. He should consider your feelings and what you want or in this case don't want. Does his present girlfriend know that you dated? If not and you want to be "cut loose" completely then maybe you should tell her that the 2 of you used to date. Most women do not want ' an "ex" to still be involved in her man's life.
No she doesn't know but I don't want to do anything that would make him hate him. I enjoy his friendship and hope one day to get back together again. - 4 months ago
This is a bit puzzling. He either doesn't hear what you're saying or doesn't care. I would tell him that you are really uncomfortable and that it hurts to see them together, and if he does want that "special friendship" not to be ruined, then he needs to quit forcing you to be part of his dates.
